Play Em’ All Tour Discblog

Support The Sport

TOUR DETAILS

The budget for this tour is coming from three main sources. I am providing 20% from my own pocket, about $15,000. Corporate incentive based sponsorship that relates directly to how many courses I play will provide about $20,000. The sale or trade of merchandise that either I buy at wholesale or is donated by clubs, companies or individuals should provide about $30,000. If anyone has any questions about the financials of the tour I encourage them to contact me directly. The tour route will be worked out and published by the end of February. Please keep in mind that this is a three year effort, these projected numbers are a shoestring budget with no hotel expenses, the tour will need all the help it can get, and so far the disc golf community has been extremely supportive.

  1. The Play Em All Tour is for the Disc Golf community. My way of saying thank you to the sport that has given and taught me so much over the years. My hope is that by the time it is over the sport might grow just a little because of the tour. “upshot”

  2. This tour is dedicated to the memory of Steady Ed. I will be flying his ashes disc at eacc and every course that is played! R.I.P Ed

I met Steady Ed while I was going to school at CSU Monterey Bay. He designed the first course on the campus (Cypress) back in 1998 while I was a freshman. He gave a lecture on disc golf in early 1999 and gave all those in attendance a “Blunt” Putt which I still have to this day. Everyone then went out and played the course with our new disc.

  7. Let me know when you come down to Houston. I’d love to throw a round with you on your journey! I’ll bring out the camera and catch some good pics for ya.

  9. I mett Ed a couple of times. I was always the only guy from Holland at 5 out of 6 world championships and Ed was always there. We had dinner once and I just loved to listen to his stories from way back.I got him to sign a blowfly proto(I think it was a blowfly).Kinda funny to see his 001 ed headrick signature. He was the first and will always be.
I have his discs hanging together with an Eagle(the first disc made by Innova),the proto blowfly and a disc which has a design on it from John Notenboom(famous discgolf artist).
The discs are surrounded by a lot of mini’s in the shape of a sun…it looks pretty cool.
